The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a brand new type of item that gives an increase in your stats. They can be used to upgrade armor, trinkets and weapons.
Item upgrades use a system called "upgrade pity" to calculate probabilities. This system is designed to reduce the risk of losing money and offer security when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader allows players the ability to upgrade the levels of their weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrade is applied to the gear when you visit an upgrader NPC using the appropriate currency. The stats of an item are upgraded when upgrading it.
This NPC is found in every major city and is located at the edge of the square, near a Teleport. The NPC can be used to upgrade any type of armor or weapon, except for items that require an adventure to acquire or craft.
Note: The item you use to apply an upgrade will be consumed for life. It is not possible to apply multiple upgrades to one piece. If you attempt to do so the previous upgrade will be overwritten.
The process of upgrading your equipment is a great way to maximize the power of your gear and boost your damage, survival, and overall power. If you have Benthic equipment that you obtained from the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at ilvl 385 and can be upgraded using [Prismatic manapearls[Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are available across all accounts, however upgrades for PvP gear requires a specific currency, like [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional items of gear in an armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade on that equipment.
Weapons
Weapons are an essential part of any successful character, no matter if they're employed to deter an intruder, kill an intruder, win an shooting competition or simply hang on a wall. It isn't a matter of how you plan to use the weapon. It can be upgraded and will change with your playstyle as time goes on.
You can upgrade weapons by visiting a blacksmith with a workbench for weapons. It is located in the right-hand wing of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is an excellent choice to upgrade your primary weapon. There is also a Smithing Master called Iji located at the "Road to the Manor" Site of Grace in the northwestern region of Liurna of the Lakes. Smithing Master Iji enhances armor and weapons.
In general, upgrading an item can increase its weapon's level by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other weapons that are special will have their ilvl increase by 15 for all upgrades. The player can only have one upgrade in play at any one time. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon that has another upgrade applied the upgrade will fail and the weapon will be reverted to the previous level.
Upgrades don't just boost the value of an item but also provide additional stats which can be used to increase its effectiveness. Some of these upgrades are passive, while others will provide more damage, more powerful attacks, greater range or even critical strike opportunities.
Some weapons can be upgraded to a higher level with an Ashes of War weapon, which is rewarded for beating certain raid bosses. Whetblades are rare items that unlock new Affinities for weapons.
Once a weapon has been fully upgraded, the player can continue to upgrade it as long as they have the correct upgrade materials and currency. It is important to remember that weapons are only upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 25. Therefore, players should only upgrade their weapons after they've acquired the maximum possible number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
The Trinkets offer a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like other equipment, by interacting directly with the Item Upgrader.
You can find an item upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, you must first unequip any weapons or armor that are equipped. Once you do, the NPC will appear with a red "Equipped" banner above his head.
When you select him, he will offer you the option to upgrade your weapon or armor. You will need to bring the currency and the items to the NPC. The NPC will then upgrade your equipment by one level.
